Foundational projects for a better future
Glouster Revitalization Organization, GRO, is a 501c3 founded in 2019 with the purpose of facilitating a vibrant uptown area by supporting revitalization projects, entrepreneurship and providing community spaces for the betterment of our community and residents.
wonder baran open air venueOur first completed project was an open-air park/event space located in the middle of town. This project has facilitated the removal of a structurally unsafe building and has resulted in a dramatic improvement to the downtown area by redeveloping the space into a community park. This park space is a compliment to the Glouster Depot and an ideal venue for events uptown like Glouster First Fridays and our Christmas event. Adjacent to the historic train depot, which has been preserved and is used by The Glouster Project, this new park called Sedalia Crossing has created an expanded public event space.

Kinghts of Pythiasa community hubWe are currently renovating the Knights of Pythias building (KOP). This is our biggest project to date. The goal of this endeavor, beyond saving this majestic structure, is to create a supported entrepreneurial incubation setting, a remote work center and community co-working space. The first floor will be built out to support food based services in a shared kitchen environment and would house 4-6 entrepreneurs. The upper levels will be built out as co-working and remote work center space. This exciting project will transform our community's current offering and is linked to other projects that we are undertaking with non-profit partnerships.
